So, you’ve been thinking about a hot tub. Now, where to start? Over the years I have seen literally thousands of folks make this journey. Starting with Hurricane Harvey, we have seen 3 major Hurricanes strike our country in the past month. As the full measure of destruction along our Texas coast became evident we wanted to find a way to help. I contacted both Jerry Pasley, President of Bullfrog Spas, and the Austin Disaster Relief Fund to arrange for a donation with every spa we sold in the middle of September. Frankly, Hurricane Harvey, along with the gas scare, severely impacted our own business in both Austin and San Antonio. Never-the-less, 9 of our customers bought their hot tubs with us. With Bullfrog and their support, we were able to contribute $3,750.00 in their names. I wish to thank all 9 of you who supported us and our Texas neighbors along the coast with your purchases. Special Thanks to:
We are often asked in our showrooms about the operating expenses for a hot tub. Some people have heard that a hot tub could cost a $100 or more per month to operate.
In recent years you may have heard quite a bit about a new product in the Pool / Hot Tub market, generically called Swim Spas. Fashioned after the original Endless Pool concept of a narrow long pool with a current to swim against, swim spas are basically treadmills in water. Whereas in the past you swam through a static body of water (pool, lake, or ocean perhaps), with a swim spa, the water is flowing and you are in place, swimming against the current.
Three years ago I added Marquis Spas to our selection. Marquis is the only manufacturer I have added since our opening in February 2009 with Bullfrog & Clearwater Spas. There were quite a few reasons I chose to add Marquis, but one was their deep & enthusiastic commitment to Make-A-Wish. In fact my first contact with Marquis Spas was several years earlier when they contacted me, out of the blue, to ask us to deliver a Marquis Spa hot tub to a Make-A-Wish child. At the time they had no dealer in Central Texas and asked us to help out. We did.
